Free Opera VPN is available without requiring a separate download or extension. No sign-up process or subscription is required to use the native VPN feature on an unlimited basis. This makes free Opera VPN available to any Opera browser user. With VPN enabled, Opera users can hide their real IP address. A VPN will replace your actual IP address with a virtual one, making it more difficult to track your computer and location. Content restricted by a school or business firewall becomes accessible when a user enables VPN. When connected to the Internet via public Wi-Fi, a VPN can improve your security.
Enable Free Opera VPN from SettingsTo enable the free Opera VPN feature, click the Opera menu button. Click Settings. (or visit opera://settings/).
Opera VPN was mentioned as one of the five worst VPNs on the market, alongside Hola VPN, VPN Gate, Betternet, and SurfEasy VPN. Since your online security and privacy should be your main concern, we cannot recommend Opera VPN for China, even though it stands higher in our VPN ranking than the aforementioned not-so-Fantastic Four. But, my browsers FF and IE cannot connect to the internet while connected to the VPN. I usually get a notification that the server FF or 127.0.0.1 IE will not accept the connection, or something akin to that. As soon as I disconnect the VPN, the browsers work just fine. I have done a search, but nothing seems to fit my situation.
